Dynamo Moscow have brushed aside Prokon Trefl in Group A, and in Group C second placed Barcelona's defeat has given CSKA Moscow a chance to extend their lead at the top.
Dynamo were strong from the start. Hansen led the charge to claim twelve points in the first quarter in an impressive all round performance. The visitors struggled to remain competitive and steady work by Popovic from the free throw line didn't help them. While Dynamo scored freely, a solid defensive effort hampered Prokom Trefl's efforts to stay competitive. Long before the end it was clear that far from being a competitive match, Dynamo were schooling their Polish visitors in the game, eventually running out winners by over twenty points 95-73. That result means Dynamo in their first season in the competition have qualified for the Top 16.Elsewhere a late rally from DKV Joventut saw them qualify also. Eldo Apolis kept their hopes alive by beating Barcelona at home in Group C. That result helped CSKA Moscow to strengthen their position.
