New book celebrates piano dynasty

A book about the life and work of a dynasty of Russian pianists – the Neighaus family – has been published. It was presented to the public as part of an ongoing festival, dedicated to one of the family members – pianist St
Stanislaw was the youngest of the prominent pianists’ dynasty and the 80th anniversary since his birthday is celebrated this year. Stanislaw's grandfather, Gustav, studied piano in Germany and then came to Russia to establish his own musical school here in the 19th century. His son, Henry, continued his father's undertaking and became one of the greatest pianists in Russia, training many musicians, including his son. The book was put together with help of the Neighaus friends and relatives.
