New view of Ostrovsky's classic comedy

A new production of “The Hot Heart” by Russian classic writer Aleksandr Ostrovsky has been performed in Moscow. Director Roman Samgin takes a new view on the comedy play.
A merchant's daughter called Parasha feels ill at ease living with her parents who don't allow her to meet with her beloved. She leaves home to join her lover when he is drafted into the army.The director of the play is Roman Samgin from a new breed of Russian directors breaking the traditional mould. He's invited actors from other theatres and his students from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts to take part in the production.The director says he's not afraid of working with inexperienced artists as they are capable of breathing new life into any play.
