Russia's world and Olympic figure skating champion has lost a Porsche and a world champion gold medal after thieves snatched his car. Aleksey Yagudin left his medal in his prestigious car overnight. Now he estimates the total loss at over $US 1.5 million.
Yagudin's career peaked when he won the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He's been the world champion in figure skating four times.
“Hope dies the last, and I hope there is still a small chance that my car will be found, but I think I'd better start looking for a new vehicle,” Yagudin said.
