On the cycling track, Mikhail Ignatiev and Alexei Markov won bronze in the men’s madison, with Argentina and Spain clinching the top two places on the podium.
Another Russian high jumper, Yaroslav Rybakov joined Silnov on the podiuml with a bronze medal.
At the end of the day 11 Russia is ranked 6th in the overall medal standings with 10 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals, while China tops the standings boasting 42 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals.
Mixed success
Russian wrestlers enjoyed mixed success in the men's freestyle wrestling on Tuesday, taking gold and silver.

In the 55 kg freestyle wrestling Russia's Besik Kudukhov shared the bronze with Radoslav Velikov of Bulgaria, while the gold medal went to Henry Cejudo of the United States, who beat Japan's Matsunaga Tomohiro.
Four years ago Mavlet Batirov won the 55 kg gold at the Athens Olympics. This time, in the final of the 60 kg category Batirov comfortably beat Ukraine's Vasyl Fedoryshyn.
The bronze medals went to Seyedmorad Mohammadi of Iran and Kenichi Yumoto of Japan.
Also on day 11 boxer Alexei Tishchenko, the 2004 Athens Olympic champion, made it through to the semis in the 60 kg category, beating Colombian Darleys Perez in his quarter-final bout.
Tishchenko, the featherweight world champion, is one of Russia's main medal hopefuls.
