Ovechkin named best Russian in NHL

The newly-crowned world champion Alexandr Ovechkin has been named Russia's NHL player of the season. He added another trophy to his already impressive collection.
There's probably never been a more deserving recipient of the trophy. Alexandr the Gr8 has done everything this season to secure the accolade.
The Washington Capitals left winger top the scoring charts this season, setting a new record for a winger and landing a record-breaking contract along the way.
It seems the only trophy he's yet to lift is the Stanley Cup.
