Are you suffering from winter blues? Are the long nights and cold days getting you down? Two psychology graduates from St. Petersburg are offering a special workshop that promises to banish the gloomy moods of mid-winter.

In the 'Psycho-design' studio in the centre of Russia's Northern capital, two girls invite sufferers into a room.  The walls are covered with white paper.

After an initial consultation, customers are given a selection of brushes and paint pots and told to unleash their creative potential.

During the session, one of the psychologists observes the painting, and makes notes which she later discusses with the client.

Specialists call it ‘art therapy’ – a creative way of coping with depression and dark moods. They claim it helps people to forget about their everyday problems.
