Piano victory goes to Russia

A Russian piano prodigy from the Ural city of Perm has won the international competition of young pianists which took place in Italy and Austria.
According to the press service of the city of Perm, the name of the winner is Ekaterina Khokhlova.
Katya is only eight years old, but has already had her first music victory overseas. Earlier the aspiring pianist came first at several local competitions in Russia.
She has left behind contestants from Russia, Ukraine, Denmark, Spain, Austria and Italy.
Participants of the contest had a rare chance to play a one-of-a-kind concert grand piano created by the celebrated Italian master Luigi Borgato, who also took part in the event.
