Regional theatre companies perform in Moscow

Moscow’s Central House of Actors is hosting a new festival called “The Theatrical Ring”. Different theatre companies from several Russian regions will present their best productions.
The festival started with the latest production by a theatre company from the city of Yaroslavl in Central Russia.The performance called “Christmas Dreams” was staged by the company's art director Vladimir Bogolepov. The play written by Natalya Ptushkina is very popular across the country. It portrays the unhappy life of an old woman and her grown-up daughter.“Christmas Dreams” has been staged by many different theatre companies across Russia and was even made into a movie 6 years ago.
Russian-born "dancer of the century" back in MoscowVladimir Malakhov, who is called the “dancer of the century” by many European critics, has been in Moscow for a gala concert. He came to Russia to remind ballet lovers of the basics of the classical ballet school. |
