Current Spanish champions Barcelona have missed their chance to move within a point of leaders Sevilla after they were held to a draw by Athletico Madrid. Before the match the Catalan leader Ronaldinho received Spanish citizenship papers.
The Catalans took the lead just before half time. Ronaldinho scored with the free kick just squeezing its way under Leo Franco in the Athletico goal. But everything changed after the break. And it was Javier Ageure's men who rallied and played some great football in the second half and they got their reward when 18-year-old Carlos Aguilera scored on 60 minute. Before the match, Ronaldinho went to hand in his Spanish citizenship papers. The 26-year-old is to receive dual nationality in early 2007 allowing Barcelona to bring one more non EU player into their squad.
