AC Milan striker Ronaldo has conceded he may not play again. The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year has undergone surgery in Paris after severely rupturing a tendon in his knee in a Serie A match last week.
Ronaldo has now left hospital and his playing future should become clearer over the next three months.
“My will is to keep on playing, my heart tells me this, but my body is showing me signs that it's tired, that it's asking for rest. Over the next few months I'll be recovering physically, but I intend to live a normal life. If I feel that my body is able, I will return to playing football.”
