Rubin return to winning form

Rubin are continuing to play like champions in the Russian premier league. The table toppers defeated Spartak Nalchik 3-0 and have increased their lead to eight points. Moscow sides Dinamo and Lokomotiv were also winners on the day.

The hosts opened the scoring score after just two minutes when striker Alexandr Bukharov found himself all alone in the six-yard box and head in.
Rubin didn't have to wait around too long to double their advantage. Savo Milosevic teed up superbly after a quarter of an hour.
The Serb added his second after the break to settle the match.

Dinamo Moscow were desperate to get back to within reach of Rubin.
Andrey Karyaka put the visitors one up from the penalty spot after 21 minutes.
But Dynamo pressed hard for an equaliser and they duly got their reward 18 minutes from time when Igor Semshov's wonderful pass provided Andrei Kokorin iwith an opportunity wh ich he duly put away.
The winner came with 83 minutes on the clock. An absolutely stunning strike from Sevilla star, Alexandr Kerzhakov, enabled Dinamo to climb to second spot in the table.

In the day's opening fixture Lokomotiv showed their battling qualities to notch a 1-0 win away to FC Tom.
