Russia & Czechs level in Davis Cup

Russia and the Czech Republic have finished level after day one of their weekend-long quarter-final clash in the Davis Cup.
Woefully out of form Marat Safin finally found some, storming back from two sets down to beat Thomas Berdych and give Russia the lead.
But Radek Stepanek later leveled matters for the visitors with a straight sets win over Igor Andreev.
