Russian manager Guus Hiddink has been impressed by his charges manager in their last warm-up match before the European Championships. They beat Lithuania soundly 4-1 in Germany.

However, it was Lithuania, who first got on the scoreboard.

Mantas Savenas opened the scoring 24 minutes into the game, exploiting a dreadful mistake of Russia's defenders.

But nine minutes later Konstantin Zyryanov got an equaliser with a brilliant shot.

Straight after the break another Zenit striker Andrey Arshavin gave Russia a 2-1 lead.

Then Spartak Moscow’s Roman Pavlyuchenko scored Russia's third goal.

And with ten minutes to go, Pavlyuchenko’s teammate Vladimir Bystrov put the score beyond any doubt.
