The former winners of Russia’s beauty competitions have united to use their charm and talent to help children in need.
Former Miss Russia competition winners are using their singing talents and their celebrity to attract attention and sponsorship for a good cause. Their message is loud and clear – “save the children, make Russia one family.”
Their single is being recorded at a Moscow studio. It will be released next month and sold across the country. All proceeds will go towards helping orphaned and abandoned children in Russia.
“I hope that this song will change society's attitude to the children in this country who need attention and care. And with the prettiest girls getting together to spread the message, hopefully people will listen,” Vera Krasova a Miss Universe 2008 contestant says.
For pregnant Svetlana Koroleva, Miss Russia 2002 winner, this is a cause close to her heart.
“There are so many children in Russia who need help. I'm going to have my second child soon and so the issue of children's welfare is very important to me,” Koroleva says.
