Top Moscow fashion designer Aleksandr Terekhov is in New York to woo the crowds at the city's Fashion Week. Terekhov is going to present his new autumn collection under his Terexov label.

“I'd like to establish myself here in New York City. And I think we're making good progress from season to season,” Aleksandr Terekhov said.

Alexandr got his first break in New York two years ago, when he was picked to take part in a fashion show for emerging international designers.

Since then, he has signed with a Los Angeles Publicist and opened a showroom in Manhattan.

His next step is to move from the runway to the racks in high end stores and boutiques.

Terekhov's designs are known for elegance and femininity. There are no trousers in sight though, as the Russian designer prefers skirts and dresses for women. Silk and chiffon are among the favored fabrics, but Terekhov says his upcoming collection will feature a new element.
