Anna Netrebko’s performances are sold out months in advance. The “Russian Maria Callas” is scheduled to give her only concert in Moscow no earlier than September 6.

She's got the looks, the voice and the charisma. The 38-year-old superstar lives in Vienna, New York and St. Petersburg and rarely performs concerts in Moscow. She’ll be in Moscow in September only to take part in a charity concert celebrating the 862nd anniversary of the Russian capital.

“The Russian pearl” of opera will be joined on stage by Georgian bass singer Paata Burchuladze, the star of the Mariinsky Theatre, Olga Borodina, as well as German tenor Jonass Kaufmann.

The concert, in Moscow’s Cathedral Square, is expected to attract several thousand music lovers.
