A new book dedicated to life and work of Sergey Korolyov, a pioneer of Soviet rocket design and space exploration, has been released. The author knew Korolyov in person, therefore the book was produced from real life.
Because of his role in the Soviet space program, Sergey Korolyov’s life was kept as a closely-guarded secret, so there were many legends related to his name. However, the author, journalist Yaroslav Golovanov, spent about 30 years to learn real facts surrounding his life, spending many years at the Russian Baikonur space centre. The presentation of the book, over 1,000 pages long, was attended by many former cosmonauts. It has already been called an encyclopedia of Russian space exploration and science.
