Scorcese lands first Oscar

After 27 years, director Martin Scorsese is going home with an Oscar at the 79th Academy Awards Ceremony in Hollywood. Martin Scorcese's “The Departed” won four awards, including best picture and best director.
Helen Mirren took best actress for her role in “The Queen” and Forest Whitaker best actor for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in “The Last Kind of Scotland.” “Dreamgirls” star Jennifer Hudson was best supporting actress, and Alan Arkin best supporting actor for “Little Miss Sunshine”. The Russian film industry was not present at the ceremony.
