The Australian Open champion destroyed Israeli number one, Shahar Peer, 6-1 6-1 to put Russia 2-1 up.
And that set up Anna Chakvetadze to secure the victory.
Playing as a replacement for Dinara Safina, she defeated Tzipora Obziler.
Russia also won the final match, the doubles, to wrap up a 4-1 overall victory.
In the semis, Russia will face the winner of U.S. – Germany tie.
