Shocking tale of a polecat and his love-rat

They say opposites attract, but one couple is taking that to an extreme. In the Russian city of Saratov on the Volga there has been a rather unlikely match between a polecat and a rat.
Staff at a regional ecological centre gave the white laboratory rat to the polecat for a New Year's treat.
However, instead of eating the unsuspecting rodent, the polecat befriended the rat and the pair were soon found cuddling up to each other.
Workers at the centre have already nicknamed the couple “Romeo and Juliet”.
