Steak house makes meal of G8 portrait

The recent G8 summit in Japan was billed as an occasion for high politics and world-defining decisions. But one enterprising Moscow restaurant chain saw it as an opportunity for a spot of creative advertising.
The ad promoting the chain’s new branch uses the so-called family photo – a group portrait of all G8 leaders together.
Dmitry Medvedev – a newcomer to the G8 – is on the top right with a big “NEW” label right next to him.
It’s not clear whether the Russian president agreed to his image being used in such a commercial way – or even whether he is aware of it at all.
