Tchaikovsky's masterpieces performed in Moscow

The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra has finished its series of “Sunday afternoon” day-time concerts in Moscow. All the works performed were by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, one of the greatest Russian composers.
In this cycle of day-time concerts the musicians presented the rarely performed suite “Mozartiana” and the “Manfred” symphony. This work, penned in 1885, is based on Byron's dramatic poem “Manfred”. The original text in the style of Romanticism is full of supernatural elements. And the music by Tchaikovsky revives the needed fantastical atmosphere.“Perfection has no limits,” as Vladimir Fedoseev, the conductor of the orchestra, often says starting his rehearsals. And this concert series is particularly important for the Tchaikovsky Symphonic orchestra. “We feel responsibility towards this music. Compositions by Tchaikovsky are played all over the world, and our task is to present a kind of model performance.” Fedoseev tries to find some new colours and nuances in each composition every time. The orchestra is scheduled to continue its series of Sunday day-time concerts, which have already gained popularity among the music lovers, including the youngest ones.
