Rumours continue about the future of Russia’s biggest Euro-2008 star, Andrey Arshavin. The Zenit Saint Petersburg forward is once again linked with a move to English side Tottenham Hotspur.

Spur’s chairman, Daniel Levy, is quoted it the British press saying he is confident for landing the player in January transfer window for $US 30 million.

Levy believes the verbal agreement has been reached with Zenit management concerning the move of the 27-year-old to London.

If the deal will be signed Arshavin will join up with another Russian, Roman Pavluchenko. The striker joined Tottenham from Spartak Moscow before the start of the season for $US 26 million.

Despite strong financing, the Spurs are currently struggling in the English Premier League. The team occupies the last position in the table, with no wins after 6 games.
