Twenty-four passengers on a Transaero flight from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk demanded they be let off the plane after spotting a hole in the wing.

The Boeing-737 was taxied to the runway several times before finally taking off. After boarding, a passenger noticed that a panel was missing from the wing. He informed the crew who thanked him for his vigilance.

The pilots, however, decided it was safe to fly anyway. Nervous passengers demanded they be let off the plane. After two hours of arguing, they were finally given permission to disembark.

Although they received a refund for the tickets, they ended up being fined as the situation was not deemed an emergency by the airline.

The plane has since landed safely in Krasnoyarsk.
