Tsars' sport sees a comeback

It all started with elephants in the Himalayas and ended up being played on horses and on snow. The Russian weather has proved no obstacle to the growing popularity of snow polo, as the fifth international tournament takes place in Moscow.
Polo players from five different countries came to Moscow to compete for the title of “the best on snow”.
Snow polo though is becoming more and more popular in Russia. It was in vogue a long time ago. The 1917 revolution banished the game of kings and Tsars as a bourgeois activity.
But now that Russians are well into almost every aristocratic pursuit, this aristocratic game has rapidly been revived.
