Venus Williams has reached the Wimbledon final after beating Ana Ivanovich. And the favourite of men’s draw, Roger Federer has made it through to the semis.

In the ladies draw, Venus Williams is through to her sixth Wimbledon final after beating Ana Ivanovic 6-2 6-4. It’s a fantastic career comeback for the American who was the winner here in 2000, 2001 and 2005.

In the second semi Justine Henin is in action against French youngster Marion Bartoli.

Good outing for last year's winner in men’s competition Roger Federer. The Swiss star beating former World Number one Juan Carlos Ferrero in four sets. The two were locked at five games apiece in the first set last night when rain interrupted their clash. And it was the Fed Express who was able to continue his impressive delivery, taking the first set and eventually sealing the deal 7-6 3-6 6-1 6-3.

Friday was a great day for last year’s runner up Rafael Nadal as well. The Spaniard cruising to a straight sets win over Tomas Berdyc. Helped by 39 winners, Rafa stormed into the last four, beating the Czech 7-6 6-4 6-2 in just over 2 hours time and setting up a meeting with Novak Djokovic.

The Serb, meanwhile, survived an epic battle against last year's semifinalist Marcos Baghdatis. The Cypriot took Djokovic to the fifth sets, but it was the Serb who showed more brilliance in the decider, winning it 7-5.

Elsewhere, Andy Roddick is playing Richard Gasquet  for the right to face Federer in the semis.
