Well-known Russian ensemble aspires to Grammy

The Moscow Soloists ensemble has been nominated for a Grammy Award. The group is led by prominent Russian conductor Yury Bashmet. They will compete in the Best Small Ensemble Performance category.
The famous musicians were nominated for their album, which includes Chamber Symphonies by Shostakovich and Sviridov. The award recognises the work of both the ensemble and the conductor. The Grammy winners will be announced in Los Angeles on February 11.
