They call themselves The Lovebugs. And it seems that nothing, in fact, is bugging members of this Swiss rock band, often referred to as the ‘veterans of music’.

They have played over one thousand gigs, supported the Rolling Stones and have been working together for 15 years. Do they quarrel sometimes?

“After so many years we are like a family. We don’t really fight, we are good friends.”

What’s the challenge at Eurovision? – The Lovebugs say they are just looking to provide the public with a good performance. ‘Switzerland didn’t score many points in previous Eurovision contests. We want people to hear our song and hope they will like it.”

The musicians say every song is about love. But the single they’ll perform in Moscow, ‘The Highest Heights’, is an exception. “It’s about fear of making a mistake and falling down.”

And they know what they are talking about. The Lovebugs told a press conference that in the beginning of their career their lifestyles reflected the notorious cliché that rock musicians prefer, featuring ‘sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. “Now we’ve mellowed a bit. It’s too expensive to crush walls in hotels, after all.”
