Yushchenko enters fire-brigade meritocracy

Forest fires have afflicted many countries this summer, but in Ukraine President Victor Yushchenko himself has seen to it that things do not get out of hand.
Equipped with little more than a shovel, Victor Yushchenko took to the woods near his residency to extinguish the flames with sand.
Luckily, Mr Yushchenko was not alone in the forest, but had some professionals by his side to help him get the job done.
