Prison sentence for taking photos in UK

A new law in the UK makes it an offence to take pictures of policemen or any other law enforcement officers. Civil libertarians say Gordon Brown's Britain is becoming like George Orwell's Big Brother state.

This law appears to be in response to the G20 summit and all the illegal acts carried out by the police. This Act is definitely going to be abused. The police stated catagorically that no officer was in physical contact with the gentleman who died during the G20 summit protests. Yet video coverage showed that they lied in order to protect themselves from court action. If this law had been in place at the time then the police would not be held to account for their actions. The same applies to the woman who got a back handed swipe from a police man. They thought that by hiding their numbers they could do what they liked but they were proven wrong and now they have pushed for this law to be implemented. There is no possible way for ordinary citizens to make the police accountable for their actions so they will get away with murder. Oh, I forgot, they already do get away with murder - Jean De Menezes.
