It seems to this citizen of the USA that the Russians have elected themselves not just a politician, but a Statesman.

Being from the USA, of course, I do have some views which are at odds with Mr. Putin's -- especially in the area of sexual orientation. Homosexuals should be treated no differently, in my opinion, than infertile heterosexual couples. But Mr. Putin's constant reference to the 'majority' views tells me that homosexuals have a long road ahead of them in Russia, since homosexuals will always be a minority.

Majorities can be wrong -- obviously.

He sounds far less kgbee than media put him, he's modest and not proud.

Putin is like good wine, the older it gets, the finer it is! A deep thinker, he is a man who reflects before he speaks & then speaks the truth. A leader not to be trifled with, he is a man of substance. He cares for Russia & her people, he is open that government needs improvement. Leading Russia into the 21st Century with far reaching vision he has understanding & tolerance for the problems besetting other nations. He does not seek or need endorsement, he is a protector. But with leaders of his calibre rare, people see him for the positive & enlightened leader he is, cabable of reshaping a sadly troubled World.

As a Czech living in Canada, I appreciate the skill of President Putin. Russia should be proud. The world needs a leader like this man.

Don't worry about McCain. He is not very bright. He has been shot down literally and metaphorically.

Well, from mexico I can say, congratulations for a honest question&answer session; he didn't answer with the same evasive phrases like many other useless politicians.

I am not Russian but one can clearly see that Putin is a wise, strong and tactical leader.

What's wrong with Bashar? He is not as bad as even putin claims

Anonymous user 22.06.2013 18:10

Russian politics must be primitive; they actually have to know something, i.e., history, economics.
