Geoff, All media is paid for by somebody - state or private being the two options. This is Russian State Media, yes, while in the west your media is either state or corporate owned. As the state itself is corporate owned in your paradise, prosperous world, all the media you have is in fact corporate there. Further as people still vote for their gouvernments and not for their corporations, I would still prefer to have my media being owned by the state and not private interest. What do you think? Pls show me how my argument is wrong.. . BR Aleks (from Bulgaria)   p s. I mean how do you think 300 mil Americans otherwise were brainwashed to such a degree as to be so right wing and anti-social-anything in terms of programmes, that they in fact work against their own interest and for the rich entirely?.. You like this world, fine, keep it for yourselves there, but let the rest of us decide for ourselves!

Being on this board means already a lot, because on your 'free' western media it wouldn't even be publicated. It saddens me to see how many westeners simply agree when it comes to go and kill in a far away country. Is it so easy to accept your westener leaders crap when it comes to waging wars? Gaddafi may be a nut and probably need to be removed, but then ONLY by Lybian people, not by US or Nato. US has no business in "defending" people by bombing them. Its all bullshit! Basically it is because of people like yourselves that we have a nut worldpower who can go and bully all arround the globe!!

Don't be surprised, this is Russian State Media, there will always be people gullible enough to swallow this propaganda.

It really saddens me to see so many on these boards hating the west so much I really feel sorry for you....Oh! by the way Gaddafi is a nutter how you can defend him when he kills his own people and blows up passenger planes is beyond me.
Well, it is not that people hate the so called West, it is more Western regimes occupying other countries for their own gains. As far as Gaddafi killing his own people and blowing up passenger planes is concern,  don't believe too much your western "free and objective" media and try to use your head and start thinking for yourselves. When there is a crime, in this case a war against a sovereign nation, follow the money. In this case the oil.

Yes, Dust, The CIA - "Intelligence" maybe.., but a bit archaic in my opinion. Or are they too focused on old Greco-Roman history or outdated publications on human psychology and sociology? If they could only redirect a part of this intelligence, power and money into something positive (US economy, ecology, education, social system..) and rethink perhaps outdated goals, ..what a wonderful world it would be. Pls men with power, pay a bit more attention to scientists too, not just heads of banks and corporations, for who cares who will be in power in Libya, Syria, Iran.. in 10 years, if none of us will be able to breathe the earth's air any more.. . Dreaming, I know. Unfortunately you only smarten up after a big slap (history again..) and that is true for both: an individual or a nation as a whole. The optimist: Yes I am. Why? Look at little children, or the masses' raction after a natural disaster - this is true human nature, and it has taken us many thousands of years to accumulate the amount of psychological garbage to turn this into a Guantanamo Bay.. . Dreaming again.. - well, hope dies last they say.   BR Al eks (from Bulgaria)

Gaddafi is gaining more and more support through internet via blogs, shared videos and social networks. When Serbs were bombed in 1995. and 1999. there was tight media blockage all across the western world, but today power and monopoly of traditional (mainly western) media, such as newspapers, radio and TV networks are no more, because information comes from many different sources, and from all corners of the World. This is why Hillary Clinton stressed so much, when admitting that US is losing information war to its "enemies". Well, it was about time, now they can't fabricate victimized "freedom fighters" out of terrorists, in fact homicidal maniacs, prepared by the CIA instructors; not without thinking twice - would they get out with it easily or not.

The American sponsored Libyan rebels have been exposed as just media hypes.
Gaddafi is getting more respect today by the way he stands up to America's massive bombardment than he ever had before. He just may go down in Arab history as famously as Saladin.  Wouldn't that be a kick in Ms Hillary's huge behind?
