Russian investigators say they have evidence that the Georgian military used cluster munitions against civilians in South Ossetia in August 2008. The Georgians earlier said they only targeted Russian troops.

The Georgian use of cluster bombs would have justified a far sterner response than what the Russians gave to Saakashvili's in response to his insane attack on Tsinkval. I never understood why the Russians didn't bomb the two symbols of Saakashvili's pride and joy: The new Tbilisi airport and that "White House" monstrosity Saakashvili built overlooking the Old Tbilisi. The Saakashvili "White House" looks like a fat glass condom spreading its shadow over Tbilisi. Russian bombing of that monstrosity would have done the Georgian people a favor.
