Russia and Iran must participate in Syria solution - Annan

July 08, 2012 12:20

Kofi Annan said on Saturday that despite Washington’s harsh rhetoric, there was ‘no alternative’ to Russia’s participation in a diplomatic solution to the Syrian crisis. He also said Iran was ‘an actor that cannot be ignored’.

What's this nonsense about Russia and China paying some kind of a "price"? Maybe it's time that Barack da Bomber, Etch-a-Sketch Mitt, and the whole bunch of them start paying some price for their trillion dollar wars that have wrecked the U.S. economy and deranged international relations in the entire post-Cold War world. At a time of international crisis, Ronald Reagan (encouraged by Margaret Thatcher) reached out to Mikhail Gorbachev and brought the Cold War to a conclusion that the U.S. should have been very happy with, but Reagan's successors, starting with the first Bush (the Gulf War), Clinton (the rape of Yugoslavia), the second Bush (just about everything), and now the Bomber have destroyed the opportunity that Ronald Reagan gave to all of us.
I'm sorry but Reagan and Thatcher started this whole conquering the world and cutting back on we the people's "promoting the general"welfare in usa and promoting it elsewhere.  At the time, the former soviet union was just too strong NOT to have talks with.  And Reagan backed South American dictators inflicting misery and killing on their people and he aided and abbetted Al Queida in Afghanistan. The following presidents I agree were no damn good(dem and gop both), but they were given a free hand to starting wars for the corporations because there was no longer another super power(i.e.Soviet Union)to keep the US in check to a much greater degree than Russia by itself can not.  We need a coalition of non aligned nations including China, Russia, the South American democratic socialist countries, etc to form a coalition to keep the US(and their western lap dogs) warmongers and robber barrons thinking twice about starting an aggression in a resource rich country or region.  dahszil, male, usa

Annan has gone to Iran to involve Iran, and provide for US and its NATO allies the smoking gun that they need to cry wolf.  Nice try Mr. Annan, Iranians are no fools. Iran will not meddle in Syria affairs. Iran foreign Minister the other day clearly stated that Iran is not interested to make decision about other nations.

Mr.Annan is correct that Russia and Iran must be included in negotions about the horrible situation in Syria.  He has come a long way.  When he was head of the UN he did not lift a finger to intervene in the Rwanda massacre back in the 1990's. dahszil, male, usa

This is what makes Mr. Annan, such a class act and the best Secretary General, we have ever had in the U.N.; he has the intelligence to divert the pressure being put on the Persians from all of the other areas in which they have been getting slammed, and to actually show them that he, and the people he represent, still believe that they can be a viable diplomatic emissary when necessary, that is capable of providing solutions. Thank you sir, for reminding me that there is still intelligence in the arena of global politics.

Kofi Annan first with his six point peace plan, and then United nation observers deployed in Syria and  having met with "friends of Syria"in half dozens countries as well as  meetings with UNSC members, now he is talking about Iran as an actor plus Russian's influence, can not be ignored.Well I have had enough of Kofi and his conviction in buying time for west and their Zionists masters, under different pretexts,so they can somehow find a way of destabilizing Syria in order to delay the inevitable fall of other dictatorships in ME.Syria is just a smoke screen for to cover up for bigger prizes, that's all.Saudi,Jordan,Oma n,Kuwait,Bahrain,Qat ar and Israel.Oh yes.

What Kofi Annan is suggesting is utterly profane. Neither Russia nor Iran are simply going to bend over and let USA/Apartheid Israel destroy the governments of Syria, Iran and the Hezbollah resistance fighter network in Lebanon.

Syri a's Gov. troops should actively be working with the Hezbollah fighters in war simulations and war scenero's to parallel their responses, work out the logistics and communication between various groups and organisations.

It's shaping up to appear USA/Turkey/NATO is going to invade Syria at the same time Apartheid Israel attacks the Hezbollah in Lebanon to cut off multiple enemy war fronts against the Satanically evil Zionists leading Apartheid Israel to their ultimate doom when Apartheid Israel attacks Iran.

The Gaza occupation resistance fighters should also be actively preparing for the Apartheid Israeli war on Syria going to an air and land invasion to help their Hezbollah brothers in arms in Lebanon.

Russ ia and China should be pouring defensive tools, equipment, weapons into Syria and Iran both in hurry up non-stop fleets of cargo ships escorted by Russian warships while Russian and Chinese aircargo jets do the same with 60 ton urgent supplies flown directly into Syria and Iran in the build up to Wars on Syria, Iran, North Korea engulfing into WW3 USA/Israel/UK vs Russia, China and Pakistan.

Nei ther Russia nor China can afford to lose Syria and Iran. China has just made a multi-Billion dollar oil contract with Iran which is ok but China did the same in Libya and LOST THOSE CONTRACTS and AGREEMENTS when USA's proxy Al CIAeda executed Gadhafi and stole Libya's Oil wealth. Come on China, USA/Israel is poised to repeat the same on Iran costing China Trillions in economic growth, loss of Middle East Oil and energy starvation for DECADES.

WAKE-UP CHINA, Pour defensive weapons into Syria, Iran along with any strategic equipment which Syria and Iran may need to survive the upcoming Wars against USA/Israel.

Kofi Anan also said one other thing they missed, he said he couldn't wait
to have a "HOT" time with Hillary again, and that the Zionists pay her to
do this with him.

@ Richard (LOL Even NATO prefers Russian weapons) (unregistered) wrote in #19
LOL..... ........because Western weapons are garbage..The Russians make better quality small arms.........Western weapons are too expensive, too complicated and too delicate for ignorant Jihadist thugs who don't know how to clean & maintain weapons....
Funny how EVEN NATO prefers the trusty old AK.......

deductive reasoning isn't one of your strong points, eh?  If zionists, saudi, qataris, or US were providing weapons then they would not be russian made.  If you consider this carefully then you will realize that Assad's army is beginning to crumble.  It won't be long now.  Maybe October or November when Assad is pulled from his culvert.  I hope that Maher dies a very long and painful death.  He deserves that.  It is a shame that he can only die once.
