Many people here in Mexico considered that the Mexican authorities over reacted on the outbreak of the A H1N1flu virus and the world has an image that everyone here in Mexico has the so called swine flu. The truth is that the number of people who contracted the virus and the death toll is really low compared with the total population of this North American country. The shut down of schools, public places, governmental offices was not because the situation was out of hand, but it was a preventive action to contained the outspread of the virus. I think the government did a right thing and acted responsible not just to save lives within Mexico but as well for the rest of the world. Although Mexico is getting back to normal course of live, that doesn't mean in any way that the guard is down, the preventive measure are still under way. The international community should take Mexico's experience to prevent the contagion of the new flu virus. So far it hasn't show to be a lethal virus, but the world has to do its share.
