We must all remember that Putin was elected to his office by a majority of the people of Russia.  The results of this electoral process must be respected.  Those who did not vote for Putin have a right to protest and many thanks to RT for reporting these events.  However, I suspect that the US State Department and/or the CIA has some involvement or at least some contact with the protestors in Russia.  The American Empire is always undermining governments all over the world.

Here they are again, Navalny, Uldatsov and Nemtsov! Those three persons figure again and again, in these rallies! It is kind of a relieve that they are currently hold in custody, and that because they violated the agreement of how the rallies where to unfold! And in the west, it seems like it is "forgotten", that Mr. Navalny is a nationalist. And by bypassing that fact, he has gotten some kind of legitimacy here?! But atleast now they can't hopefully not cause any more trouble at the Presidential Inouguration tomorrow. The demonstrators "some of them" , begin to be desperate, when they try the violent approach, after the earlier peaceful marches and rallies, failed to bring the most "extremists the results" they hoped for. Why do they think violence will bring more sympathy, is beyond me! All and all, it seems to slowly end as the evening falls! Again a good and quick responce by the Police, stopped it from getting out of hand in any really serious way. And I am looking forward to see and hear from the great event tomorrow!

As a real Russian I know that Russia would not be a sovereign nation if it wasn't for Putin, and the majority of Russians will not be fooled by the western propaganda.

The reason of the arrests was as simply as "provocation",  That's a good reason to arrest the opposition, as the American uses the same reasons to pursue its own agenda. Provocation is a great reason to stop these western financed fools.

Good point about the last names, Lazarus, although they also employ services of some unscrupulous ethnic Russians (navalny and udaltsov for example) to do their bidding. Back in 2007, when pro-western parties failed so miserably at the polls, their western handlers decided to diversify their approach. Now they also bankroll several pseudo-nationalist (practically neo-nazi) and left-wings movements. Not suprisingly, they find no trouble collaborating with the known western liberal stooges, despite the fact that their slogans (for example Russia for Russians) are seemingly anti-liberal. You see, it doesn't matter how they attract the followers, as long as they do what they supposed to do - destroy from within. It also doesn't matter that they enjoy so little popular support. In the Orwellian virtual reality of Fox News, CNN, Google, Twitter and so on it will look like a "popular uprising of the feedom-loving Russian urban youth and the fledging middle class".
