US needs economy shock Russian-style

August 03, 2011 05:58

The US, which once advised practically all countries worldwide on how to build economic prosperity, now struggles to answer the serious questions hanging over its own financial future - right after barely missing a technical default.

Hey Roberta

you don't want to run the risk of looking like the person with sour grapes.

the fact of the matter is that everyone was very keen to blame Communism on the Russian Man/Woman, so be it also with the Chinese system.

How did the US end up in such a situation?
it's not the American citizens fault , yeah ok man.

TV, Coke Fluoride and MSG. could we start there>?

yo u've got nothing, the US is essentially finished as an empire, it's Rome x10 they may actually end the world , most US citizens would secretly like that , because if they can't have it why should anyone else? this is what they think/believe.

you've just got to take that punch in the face brother.

I feel weeping after reading this report and watching Bill Clinton playing with visibly very drunk Boris Yeltsin. I do feel some Russian politicians and economists were plainly naïve by taking the cynical American neo-liberal advice; the oligarchs- of course—took advantage and 10M Russians paid with their lives for 1990s neo-liberal shock therapy. I do not wish the same bitter pill for ordinary Americans. However, I do fear the worse is in store for ordinary Americans because in Russia the people still had collective identities based on communal housing and some had returned to the land and millions—best and brightest- fled the country to the West. Russians are too noble-hearted people and would not want the same humiliation for the American people. However, I cannot help but notice the poetic justice in the current American economic humiliation to the humiliation felt by the heroic Russian people after the sudden collapse of the Soviet Union.

In other words, they need their own medicine. Starting with the unspeakable crimes against humanity in genociding 50 million American natives, slavery and endless wars , the latest Libya, this country has been a very bloody experience soon to be over and israel with it. Not a minute too late. Greetings BRIC and the multi-polar world!

Regarding the "shock therapy" of the 1990's; please be careful to specifically identify which kind of "Americans" were responsible for this mess; and identify them that way; rather than generally as Americans.   It is truly sad that the "shock therapy" method was used on Russia.  The people doing it were either (inexperienced/naive ) [and/or] financial scammers taking advantage of an economically "innocent" Russia.   The one thing to keep in mind; is the transformation from centralized planning to market economy REQUIRED the devaluation of all savings from that previous economy.  Essentially, the Soviet Rouble was worthless under a market economy.   There are a multitude of gentler was to undergo the transformation; rather than what actually happened.  My guess is these "market economists" were 50% naive and clueless; and 50% trying to take advantage of (swindle) the Russian populace.   The "American Way" is hard-work (or smart-work) and savings/investment.& nbsp; The international banker way, since 1913, is credit/debt/borrow.& nbsp; This parasitic private corporation masquerading as a central bank appeared in the U.S. in 1913.  Yes, Woodrow Wilson betrayed the country; and screwed the American people to this day.   Bu t, please try not to blame hard-working honest "Americans" for the machinations of a certain "international bank er" class of financial parasites.  &n bsp;

Putin and Medvedev can no more lead the U.S. than fly to the moon with a ship that was the best in space to fly them there.

Simply Putin and Medvedev would get off and not have a clue as what to do because the Tweets of the "Elite" do not reach the outer spaces thankfully.

M ake no mistake this dollar take down is not about other than stealing America because the same that stole the credit and sold it back as debt, did the gaming in China and Russia too.  Now the people of all these countries get to watch as the egos of the losers play deadly games with nature.

Do the Chinese and Russian leadership really believe the concealment of their dark hearts does not get a real forensic from far more power than the fools can begin to imagine.

Amer ica must kick the same jackals out that China and Russia want inside to then have the payback sick ego twist for the memories which cannot be erased since the leaders did not save sensitive enough spirit.

Not the fault of the innocents in America, Russia-China.  WAKE UP.

Economy is the health status of a country. The economic problems of a country arise from lack of social responsibility on the part of its citizens, extending their needs beyond their means, and widespread consumerism where either there are not enough buyers or the prices of products are arbitrary because the focus of economic activity is largely shifted to produce unnecessary importance-seeking products.   ;   This gives rise to a fail-oriented economy where even the actual needs of majority become difficult to be met, mostly because they don't make highly profitable business.

&n bsp;  We're fed up with the American circus on DEBT. The obvious truth is: while lecturing others and prescribing structural adjustment programmes to others, the real intention of America is questionable with regards to its debt. Successive American Administrations raked in astronomical debts. The outrageous mountain of debt raises questions about if America could ever pay back this debt.   & nbsp;   In the bid to save themselves from embarassment, ignominy and humiliation, the lawmakers and the Administration has to stitch something together. This however, does not resolve the escalating debt problems. The American manufacturing sector is so weak and unemployment sky high. In fact, the American economy has over the years been fashioned to benefit the fraudulent Wall Street Banks and the war profiteering corporations.   ;   & nbsp; It's now understandable that the American Federal Reserve can no longer be a good custodian of the reserve currency of the world. We need to start thinking of using other currencies like the Yuan, Yen, Roubles or the Euros as currencies of world trade. The dollar has lost its legitimacy!

The people of the United States should elect Vladimir Putin as their next president. Mr Putin rightly described the US as a parasite on the world economy. This parasite is sucking mainly the Chinese Panda and committing serious crimes like lying, stealing, cheating and invading other countries. Mr Putin who saved Russia from the brink can be the president of Russia as well as the United States.

When a system is designed to fail and pull countries in to financial debt with private bankers its never going to work.
Why are these so called bailouts countries are receiving get paid to foreign banks, Surely if it was to fix their own economy it would be spent on their economy not foreign countries.
