unforunately it appears that Russia is falling into the same trap as the west did many years ago and creating myths that might be good news for the government to release on days when they want to 'bury bad news but are not based on facts. We had and still have these 'witchunts in the west and ridiculous claims by ldf former soviet union appointed psychiatrists such as the notorious self publising psychiatrist mr Mikhail Vinogradov but upon reading his comment that 100% of pedofiles/sex offenders reoffend I am surprised this man is still working. 90% of sex offences are commited by either family members or people known very well to the family and extensive reesearch in the United states gathered from released sex offenders monitored for 25 years after their release has proved that less than 7% of sex offenders reoffend and if you analyse the figurees even closer you will find that of the ones that target chikdren less than 3.5% of sex offenders who commit offences against children reoffend. The good doctor has been known to make other ludicrous claims in the past regarding thenpolice and the armed forces in Chechnya but although I am repulsed by sex attacks on children i think it is very unwise to create a witchhunt that is inspired by an old psychiatrist spouting bogus information who is no doubt pushing for a few more hours in the spotlight before he croaks it.
