Russian destroyer scuppers Somali pirates

A Russian destroyer has captured a boat containing 29 suspected Somali pirates. The group is thought to have carried out two attacks on a Russian tanker on Tuesday, April 28, but was repelled by the crew.
A Plan to defeat the Pirates. By Edmund Libeck After watching the events in the Sea on the East side of Somalia. It occurs to me that a strategy of counter attack could be done with using the Pirates own tried and true methods of attack and capture. I remember the Greek lesson about the Trojan horse. Suppose that a large force could be hidden in the bowels of a large cargo ship. And then let the Pirates take command of the ship expecting nothing out of the ordinary. Then in the dark of night or at a convenient time, the force springs forth. Freeing the hostages. Manning the captured ships and returning them to sea. The force may actually be sequestered until the right time within the ships. And there may be more just one ship with hidden troops. But, they can act in unison. Creating a perimeter so that all can be done with stealth and cunning. This may be enough to create doubt in the Pirate mind about commandeering any more ships. Because they wouldn’t know which of the ships had troops and which did not? I hope that this idea is useful to you. Sincerely, Ed Libeck

Congratulations to the Russian Navy! If more countries followed this example, piracy would be history in about two weeks.
