There has been a fire at an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region in central Russia. According to Russia’s Emergencies Ministry, there were no casualties. The fire broke out after an explosion in an oil feed pipe.
More than 100 firefighters and 24 fire appliances tackled the blaze.
“The fire has been extinguished. The fire investigators are working on determining the cause of the fire. The oil is still leaking but it’s being cleared up. Now we are working on cooling down the metal at the plant. We are also cleaning up the spilt water and oil,” Vadim Belovoshin from the Russian Emergencies Ministry commented.
