Russian tourists’ murderer sentenced to death

The man who murdered two Russian tourists in Thailand has been sentenced to death. Anuchit Lamlert was found guilty of the murder of Tatyana Tsimfer and Lyubov Svirkova. Both were shot dead on a beach in the popular holiday resort of Pattaya last February
The 24-year-old Thai, Anuchit Lamlert, was also found guilty of four other charges: attempted armed robbery, illegal possession of arms, use of arms in public and drug abuse.
Authorities say Lamlert will have the right to appeal against the sentence.
