If China switched to solar power...

To meet China's energy needs with solar power you would basically have to cover a square mile of land a day with photovoltaics for the next 30 years. That would be equivalent only to the static need of today. Factor in growth and you need to cover another 6 square miles day to cover the increase in demand over the same period of time. That's basically the land area of the state of Kansas...

To replace 20 percent of the base load coal fired electricity generated in China with equivalent wind power you need about 14,000 of the largest wind turbines ever built. The factory that makes them churns out 35 of them a year so to accomplish that goal would only take about 400 years...

Ch ina will replace many municipal coal plants with nuclear power plants. They are currently building and have plans to have 100 reactors under construction or operating by 2020. Each plant has the capacity of 150-250 of the largest wind turbines currently available...

California wind power is 5% of the total electricity need.

Pure GENIUS! Wash all the pollutants out of the air, and onto the ground... Where it all runs into the ground water... Into the streams and rivers... eventually back into the ocean. Great job, guys. That's using your noodle :/ Still better than Fukashima, at least.

What is the world waiting for? The answer has been here all along! The earth is a generator as can be seen in the Birkland or polar currents. Tesla figured out years ago that free electricity is all around us, and teluric currents under our feet. Right hand rule?? remember electricity.. there are currents all around us, we need just to tap into them.. Build Warden cliffe. I know it will work and have plans if you have the money..

Well ,let's see them .

The answer is simple, just exterminate human beings after all what are they parasites breeding and destroying everything in sight..I'm all for mass extermination, a nice world war three with biological chemical and nuclear weapons should do the trick

My wife, girl friend then, was reluctant to go with me to the US and I peel off a piece of dark brown dirt on a tree trunk on the side walk and said to her, looked, this how your lung would look like if you continue to live in China! She muted and follow me to the US.

If China switched to solar power this wouldn't be an issue. If the whole world switched to solar power, pollution and global warming causing CO2 emissions would be drastically alleviated. Why doesn't the world act on this obvious solution? Solar power means UNLIMITED power for FREE from the sun. But instead this whole city chokes on it's own emissions, and the world faces massive flooding and existence threatening climate change, all because of fossil fuels and their irresponsible use.
