Hundreds of children in Gaza have returned to UN schools for the first time since the end of the fighting a week ago.

The Israeli Ambassador to Russia admitted that Israel used white phosphorous but maintained that it was in accordance with international law.
Israel has lifted its ban on the international media entering Gaza. The block was put in place in November, preventing reporters from going to the region during the three-week long offensive.
