Mobile phones, CD players, and satellite TV are all technology that most of us use every day. But it wouldn’t have been possible without the inventions of Russian physicist and Nobel Prize laureate Zhores Alferov.
A marvelous interview of Prof. Alferov. I am so proud he won the Nobel Prize and thus has risen yet more the glory of Russian achievements. Undoubtedly, there will be much more those amongst Russian youngsters who will grow up and become not less prominent than Prof Alferov.
Solar energy for the fuure is an evidence; but we should not forget the consequence of human demography and have the honesty to face certain realities, directly related, as said Joseph Walker to human behaviour. There is also, on the practical sector, a huge problem to solve: The lack of drinking water and why we do not make greater efforts to develop at an industrial level, the sea-water 's dessalination, which oil rich Middle-East states have already successfully realized with our technologies. Is not that strange ! Don't you smell money in that masquerade. Sorry Future Generations. Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin

Great technology, but technology has'nt improved human behaviour and values in life, apart from materalistic gains.and its adoration from our broadcasters and media.ps excludes our technological advancent in medicine ,that only cures the body.the other sickness remains.
