Relationships are becoming more public than ever before thanks to Facebook, putting a strain on many loners who remain single. A Brazilian website has come up with a solution – hire a fake girlfriend to impress your Facebook friends.

The Brazilian website is offering ‘virtual’ girlfriends that would generate Facebook comments, relationship statuses and pictures for as long as 30 days, in order to fool your friends.

The site boasts that their service will help you in “impressing your friends” and “gaining confidence with women.”
But if you are short on cash, do not despair: You can hire a fake ex-girlfriend to post on your wall for just $19.

“Sometimes people need to rent a fake girlfriend to make your ex-girlfriend jealous,” the site says. “After a breakup, the ex-boyfriends want to show that they are already with another person to feel good.”

There are even various price plans men can sign up for that will supposedly increase their “popularity with women.”

The most expensive one costs $99, and offers a virtual girlfriend for 30 days and includes 30 comments on your Facebook wall, relationship status updates and pictures. A seven-day girlfriend is also available for $39.99, who will write 10 comments, update her relationship status, and provide pictures.

Those low on cash can choose the seven-day ‘ex-girlfriend’ for $19.99, which is limited to five Facebook wall comments. The cheapest plan is the three-day ‘significant other,’ which costs $10 for three profile comments from a girl.

The site is clearly biased towards men, however, as it only offers fake girlfriends, not boyfriends. Women Facebook users are apparently out of luck if they’re looking to find a faux-companion to convince their friends of their charms.
