Serbia: Nationalist Nikolic celebrates win, Tadic concedes defeat

May 20, 2012 21:21

Nationalist candidate Tomislav Nikolic has won the Serbian presidency, which could hamper his country’s bid to join the European Union. His supporters took to the streets of Belgrade and the Serb-controlled north of Kosovo to celebrate his win.

Corporate AND state controlled media are going out of favor. Technology is more accessible now. As World Villagers will now make our own media. That's the way it has to be, we really miss the truth.

Right on Vlada.............Th ere are no expectations between Serbs & Russians but let's respect the mutual trials and tribulations and the incredible resilience of BOTH countries and the deep & strong culture they share.........Very few people on this planet have to endure virtual annihilatio n every 50 years....But the Russians & Serbs routinely do and somehow they manage to resurrect their belief system each time........This is a testament to the validity of the Russian/Serbian value system and the mental toughness of the people.....BUT....

No more cycles of destruction starting NOW.......The Russians/Serbs must understand that they must live by their own solutions & code..Everyone else does........

The Anglos and Jews will always self-righteously justify the exploitation of those less clever than themselves....

The German Union & Japanese will always consider Slavs inferior to make 'lebensraum' seem just & necessary........... .

The Islamists will always be predators & dehumanize & practice a double standard towards those who are helpless & those who don't share their religion.......

I have red a lot of comments here as to why Serbia should stick to Russia, or unite with it. Rationalizing any issue is always good though, but in this particular case there is something alse: An each Serb is a russophile down to his gennes!! Each Serb is deep inside familiar with an idea that Russians are basically the entity same as we, the Serbs, are. Is it because of the same religion, or because of some other reason, I would know to tell,  but each time I meet a Russian I always have that unavoidable feeling that he is one of us. And inversely, the way the Russian shares his thoughts and views with a Serb clearly indicates he feels  the same.

Every Serb might not have a Bible in his possesion, but surely has a copy of an Enciclopedia of Russian weaponry.

Nicolic said joining the EU remains the main policy. So in that respect he's not different from Tadic. But I hope he will be a more strong pro-Serbian president. It's painful to watch the humiliation and partition of the country.

I believe the corrupt global cabal has made this everyone's business. In the same way, Americans owe it to the world to send Obama packing in November. The others are doing their part. I hope America can return the favor in November.

1. He is not a nationalist. Why does everyone keep saying that?
2. Who knew there were still countries stupid enough to want to JOIN EU? Most want - OUT.

Tomislav Nikolic is not a nationalist, he is a servant of the west. His political party is filled with knights of Malta.

The public consumption of the Greek poor by the French and German banks organised by the EU has had its effect. And this effect will be amplified by everynew stage in the EU's political and economic crisis. Ho Ho Ho.

@Russian.........Yes I'm sure the Russians are sick of that effeminate British dandy called 'Bond'  and even worse,.... that cartoon Hollywood clown that Americans suck up.....Neither of these types really resemble a hard core Nazi killer like Popov .....but....the really sad thing is that many Serbs don't know this because their own history has been so distorted by Western lies that they don't believe in themselves anymore.

The NATO puppet Tadic's exit is the first step to reverse that trend......and with Putin guiding Russia out of the corrupt EU swamp of exploitation, the Serbs will have some one real to look up to....More than aid, the Serbs just need the moral support of a country that shares their religion, culture & history......and soon the Greeks will, too.

Speaking of Bond...Here's a great example of what Slavs can expect if they help the West......
Did you know that had the Americans listened to Soviet agent Richard Sorge , one of the most courageous heroes during WWII, they would have avoided the disaster at Pearl Harbor? ...Popov actually attempted to put this information on J Edgar Hoover's desk and got kicked out of the FBI for his efforts whereas Sorge lost his life for attempting to save American lives....

I have been somewhat anxious about Serbia returning to her old habits of seeking a 'Greater Serbia' and destabilising the region. I expect closer collaboration between the old allies, Greece and Serbia, in future. I also think Russia will subsequently be drawn in to this 'group' creating a powerful anti-Western alliance.  I never understood the fascination the media has had with Serbia in the last 10 years or so - so much reporting of news from there, yet they are so insignificant.  This is now changing rapidly.

I hope that Nikolic is not foolish enough to turn its back on Russia and turn to the fake EU and NATO and their lies and false promises.Actually the most stupidest thing he can do is to join the EU. It is a sinking ship and Serbia do better if they stay out.I hope that Putin and the entire Russian people understand that the very large majority of Serbs in Serbia and beyond Serbia's borders sees the Russian people as brothers and allies, and that the Russian people do not distrust the Serbs because the serbian ledership want to turn to the EU

Actually, it's none of my business but I never liked that toadying American running dog. I am quite chuffed that the Serbs dumped him - and now hopefully, without any interference, they have a chance to realise their aspirations.

Hey Russians....Did you know the 'real' James Bond was Serbian?  His name was Dusan Popov and he was a Serbian agent against the Nazis who inspired Ian Fleming to write the 'Bond' books.......The Brits 'adopted' Bond as their own... Yeah, we know about it. However, James Bond is not exactly a popular figure in Russia. You can guess why.....We have our own classical spy movies; for example "The 17 Moments of Spring".  This movie is a bit too serious for the western audience though....
