Serbia is going through an evolutionary process, and this process is much more important then the nature of the rulers.  Since the Congress of Berlin in at the end of nineteen century, the battle for Serbia has not stopped.  Emerging from Ottoman Empire, Serbia, and the rest of Balkans, were immediately eyed by their "European"  brethern.  As the elites in Belgrade, Bucharest, Sofia and elsewhere,  readily associated themselves with the imperial German, Austro-Hungarian, Russian, French or British upper crust, the population was not particularly asked anything.  The populace had little chance to assess this notion of "Europe" as their destiny.   It was confused by the mixed message from the West, the combination of "we love you", and "we want you to die and disappear". &nb sp; The populace had never a chance to grasp that it had little in common with European values, especially the notions of supremacism in all their ways.  Balkans has much more in common with the East then it ever did or will with the West.  But it is like discovering that your parents are not really your parents, and that they never wanted you in the first place, unless you can be usefull to them.  It is not easy to give up your happy illusions. 

There is only one reason Serbia is pretending to join the EU. That's cause the Democratically ruled government is corrupt and being run by the US secret machine. I'd say if anyone who had access to current sectret recordings would clearly see these fools who toppled Milosevic with the Wests dirty cash and bribes. Sadly I have little patients for an administration like this which sells out its own people, they deserve better. It will all become a sad tragedy that Russia never took a sharper stance and protected its slavic brothers. Words have not been enough my brothers...

Anti Nazi, timing is everything, and sometimes there just presents an opportunity, a window, the smart guys see opportunity. So Serbia, you have to decide if you are smart guys that can organise yourselves and take opportunity, then you have to decide how much it is worth to you, your sovereignty, your self determination. We will not do these things for you; they have to come from within you as a nations people, but we will help. You do not need violence; you need be absolutely united in peace and justice. You are a nation state; act as one, instead of laying crying for help. When you stand strong together in peace, your strength and unity will be a pillar that is unbreakable irremovable and indestructible, we will stand with you, politically and financially, until you win, if you choose to play to win. You may suffer, you may take pain, it is the way of the world, and it is your test and yours alone. Look west, learn, win, then come east, a warm meal is waiting for you with your family. The time is right!

You name such great options. But, in order for Serbia to have the option of getting closer to Russia, Putin would have to send his best KGB men here and assassinate some 40-50 politicians/figurehe ads of NATO.
Even if people outright demanded for change of gov. through actual democratic uprising and protest, it would be crushed with unspeakable brutality by the mercenaries the government of Serbia uses to suppress any actual democracy here.
Look at Republika Srpska (an independent nation within the puppet state of Bosnia). Russian brothers - volunteers - came and fought a war for/with their Serb brothers, and now you have a state that is 100% pro Russian. Unfortunately, Yeltsin's betrayal of Serbs will forever haunt Serbia.

We are not torn between - we don't want to enter EU anymore! It's just stupid Tadic sophism that EU has no alternative for Serbs, but actually everything else became alternative since people has lost will after all these EU blackmails and their insisting of recognizing Kosovo sovereig nty. We hope for Eurasian Union, to be there with our Slavic brothers and cultivating our Eastern culture. We don't belong to neoliberal West. We don't want to be part of EU. Let decide it on referendum and Serbian people will confirm my statement.

The premise is that Serbian people want EU memebership.  This is absolutely not true.  Rig ging of polls is a standard procedure in "candidate" or "precandidate" countries.  Yet, you would be hard pressed to find anyone --- other then those bureaucrats living off EU funds --- that actually want membership. &nb sp;They know the life of privation in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary. And in spite of the nice coreography, life in Poland, Czhech Republic, Slovakia is rough.  The Baltics are in desparate state.  And the old European nations, Italy, Spain, Portugal are pushed into the life of poverty.  France is not far behind.  In UK, standard of living has fallen dramatically.  As the system is cracking all over,  EUnuchs want to "regionalize" Serbia, giving money to their horse, Dinkic, to spend lavishly on local governments, and buy votes in the next elections.  It never ends.

Don't be naive, RT readers! Serbia is  an occupied&nbs p;country! The C.I.A. has assassinate d at least two very visible Serbian fighters and kidnapped others to be imprisoned illegally in the Hague/Gitmo..George Soros owns the Serbian media through the Media Development Loan Fund which funnels money to high profile radio stations like B-92.USAID & the US state department finance the 'Democracy Commission' which provides open bribes to foreign NGOs to control aspects of Serbian society. 30 'Economic High Schools' have been opened by German & USAID to corrupt Serbian youth...Beograd is swarming with NATO spies...The list goes on...When Russia makes that kind of commitment to counter NATO influence in Beograd alone, there will be results.  

Only a small minority of Serbians (those without any education & the NATO puppets inside the government) are still enthusiastic to join the EU. President Tadic and his accomplices know it and they are trying to find a way to circumvent the public opinion and to continue their assignment in ruining everything that is still left intact in Serbia.Liberty first of all...In short Serbians need help from Russia and other countries of the free world.

Serbia is occupied country. President Tadic is not going to take piss before he ask for approval from British or US embassy. We are powerless and waiting for your help.

There is crack trough Europe: A believing part, that believes in corporation-managed- democracy and a disagreeing part, longing for basic democracy and brotherhood. The latter is asked for by little endemic populations...hoping that Russia will be the advocat of their obraz-Leitbild. Cheers to slavic people still in power of basic human instincts! I can say for a fact since my country joined the EU and Nato in 2007, nothing much has improved since the last century. All it has meant is a huge portion of the budget is being spent on Nato, foreign corporations have opened up and dominate any local competition, and of course in true EU style democracy, the minority (Roma and Turk) have gained extensive rights, and are being treated like a majority. In essence, it is just a newer kind of occupation, economically, militarily and politically with the attempt to dilute the national identity in this EU dream project.

Russian brothers and sisters, i hope that you can recognize that it is our government that wants to enter EU! Not the serbs! We love Russia, but our voice cannot be heard! Everything is corrupted, media esspecially! I hope that you understrand our situation!

Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus, Greece, and Romania are in the EU and do not recognize Kosovo province as a country, so the logic is not correct. Why would Serbia cut it's own head off to join an economic club so that it can export its plumbers and other manual workers to the rest of the EU, as well as export its low paid shopworkers. Serbia's President Tadic has been played like a violin by the various main anti-Serb EU countries (Holland, Germany, UK), arresting and giving alleged criminals to the Hague, which doesn't have George Bush or Tony Blair answering war crime charges for turning Iraq into a charnel house. Now there are more hurdles for Serbia! It's not worth it Mr Tadic! Serbia should make its own path and partnerships, and that shouldn't include EU membership "at any price". Look at Italy: EU country looking for other markets, so they rebuild the car factories that their planes helped to bomb in Serbia in 1999 - we do not forget the guilty - and they gain an indirect access to the Russian car market via Serbian export relations with Russia.

Fist of all, ordinary Serbian people don't want to go into EU. Second, Serbian government is NATO puppet regime that is in power after coup d'etat against Milosevic.After more then 10 years of mind raping western propaganda, people still see what is EU and west. Otherwise, government would give referendum, but they can't because we all know the answer.Serbia is occupied country, by media, police (no more army, it is destroyed slowly after Milosevic went down) and economicaly. All important things are owned by countries that bombed Serbia (same as they are trying to do in Libya now).

The Serbian people had enough of the current government’s promise of the EU and a better life. Majority of the people are not stupid and surprisingly still use their brains to see right from wrong. Unfortunatel y the Government is an EU puppet, and use every opportunity and help from EU to re-elect themselves.  B y joining EU, every Serb knows will not bring anything better then currently we have. Examples: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria common really how far have they gone. I just hope that the sufferings that are about to happen to the Serbian nation will not be total devastation and the incense will start to spread across the land of the Serbs ( homeland of all the Slavs ) soon after that.Good bless all the people of good heart, no meter colour or religion.
