As a Scot who lost 34 cousins in the World Wars I object to you referring to England instead of Great Britain in your programme. By referring to England and the English you are treating the war dead of Scotland, Wales & N. Ireland with disdain. In the past 300 years in every war in which Britain was involved Scotland has made a military contribution far larger than her proportion of the British population merited. At Dunkirk, Churchill betrayed the 51st Highland Division by evacuating the surrenenderd French troops before the Scots - 12,000 Scots were killed or taken prisoner. Russians should not forget the hundreds of Scottish sailors who died on convoys to Russia - such as Scottish ship Induna sunk 1942. Dying crew shown in cinemas in Germany. I am puzzled that Russians equate England with Great Britain, an insult to all the Scots, who died in the World Wars.
