Spook out of water: What Snowden can expect if Russia grants him asylum

29.07.2013 19:34

Invasive medical tests, a placement in a refugee center, and round-the-clock security observation are just some of the things whistleblower Edward Snowden could face in the coming weeks, if he finally steps out from the confines of a Moscow airport.

Mr Snowden only betrayed the American Government, NOT its people.

John, wows are taken and broken on daily basis by politicians. Snowden allowed his conscience to dictate his actions. Very few if any politicians have gone and died for their country
Soldiers are sent to war and have no say. Some are almost brainwashed while others are lied to and if they are lucky to return home they are very often ignored by that same government that sent them to war in the first place. As for fighting other people's freedom is rather farfetched.

Manning is done, Snowden is next. Hastings is done, Greenwald is next. That will just leave Assange!

Mr Snowdon deserves the best support the free world can muster for blowing whistle on PRISM.

Russia is a huge country with lots of options. There is rural life outside St Petersburg.

Russia investigating snowden from multiple angles: dissident, agent, and a few other possible roles

Your right. Can't someone help Snowden out here seriously. He's trapped, can't move around Russia now or get a job due to assassination. Hastings and Snowden were working on the same info. I read. Hastings tried to run and was murdered. US is stillafraid of what he has/knows. Why they would harm him is beyond me when the info. Has already been given out in case something should happen. This week Greenwald story on how NSA can listen to any phone call or email, he will tell us how. Manning acquitted, one big charge is a start, and Snowden needs to be safe right now. Be safe, stay positive. Read alot.

Edward Snowden, a modern day Kim Philby if there ever was one. But unlike Philby he is going to have a great time in Russia what with drop-dead gorgeous Russian girls everywhere with no hang-ups like Americans.

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 12:40

He can have an ordinary, if not an exciting life in Russia. He can get a job, study, get married.

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 11:45

Russian double standards again. Alexander Litvenko is murdered by the russians, Snowden gets asylum

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 11:23

He could study there if he has nothing to do.

10:34 The 'american people' appear to have welcomed their dumbing down. He exposed for ALL to see

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 10:34

Snowden put himself in this mess for the American people, for I can see no gain from this pain!!

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 10:34

After six weeks of living like that, he will be leading protests against the Russian Government!

Anonymous user 30.07.2013 08:19

Seems like he would be better off in American prison
